National voter day in India is celebrated on 25th January every year. National voter day was celebrated in view of the low trends about voting in the largest democracy like India in the world. Following the celebration of this, the Election Commission aimed to identify all eligible eligible voters in all polling stations across the country, which will be 18 years old on January 1. In this connection, names of new voters aged 18 years and above will be registered in the voters' list and they will be given electoral photo identity cards.

The social, educational and non-political person will share the work of distributing identity cards. On this occasion, a badge will also be given to the voters, in which the slogan will be marked with the people: 'It is proud to be a voter, ready to vote'.
The Election Commission of India will celebrate 7th National Voter day on January 25 this year in the whole country. On January 25, 2011, the then President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil launched the 'National Votant Day' on the 61st installation year of the Election Commission established since the year 1950. The two main topics of this event were 'Inclusive and Qualitative Participation' and 'No Voter to be left behind'.
